Seaside, CA-- After two days and two rounds of golf the Urban Knights finished eighth in a field of 19 schools at the Golf Mart Lady Otter Invitational on Tuesday at Black Horse Golf Course. Led by a two round score of 155 (76-79), freshman Lyra Yoe helped lead the Knights to 8th place by finishing tied for 15th among 75  golfers.

The Urban Knights dropped one spot after the first round of play, but still out shot teams such as; Chico State and St. Martin's University, who always prove to be tough competition.  AAU went into day two tied for seventh place with Chico State, as both teams shot a combined 316. As the day two progressed the Urban Knights found themselves widening the gap and finished the Invitational two strokes ahead of Chico State securing their eighth place victory.

Following Yoe, in 25th place (tied) was Freshman Laura Huertas, who shot 79-79--158.  While Crystal Superal (80-81--161) and Andrea Nieto (81-80--161) both finished tied for 35th, and Khadija Del-Lero finished 90th (99-108--207)

The Urban Knights return to action next week in Arizona at the Grand Canyon University Spring Invitational.
