THE WEEK AHEAD:
After the weather caused the Urban Knights to postpone and cancel their  two games last week the Academy of Art University's baseball team is ready to take the field again. AAU heads to St. George to play Pacwest powerhouse Dixie State College, who is 10-8 on the year. When the Urban Knights return home they will host their first and last two home games of the season, with two double-headers against Hawaii-Hilo on Sunday March 22 and Monday March 23 both games start at 12 noon.

LOOKING BEYOND:
Baseball will begin a four-game series against Dixie State in St. George, Utah on Mar. 16 . Then a rematch with Hawaii Hilo comes up next in another pair of doubleheaders beginning on Mar. 22.

SCOUTING THE REDSTORM:

The Redstorm have played double the amount of games than the Urban Knights, lack of play may prove to be a thorn in AAU's side as they have not yet been able to gel together as a team. Given their lack of play the Urban Knights have a chance to catch Dixie State off guard. Adam Brett has seen 51 at bats with an .353 average, he leads the team with most runs (14), and most RBIs (19). Right behind Brett for the Redstorm is Jimmy Denver who is batting .322 and has 2 homeruns on the year and 17 RBIs. With seven pitchers the Redstorm spread their wins amongst the group. Tyson Bailey sports a 2.60 ERA, has seen 65 batters, has given up10 hits and 8 runs, and has accumulated 19 strikeouts thus far.

HAWAII RECAP:
Competing in their first stretch of games in over two weeks because of rain, the Urban Knights began in Waipahu, HI with four losses (11-2, 5-2, 18-0, 8-3) against the HPU Sea Warriors. In the series, sophomore outfielder Darnell Quinney went 6-of-14 with a run scored and six total bases while sophomore shortstop Camryn Hernandez was 4-of-14 with two runs scored and a RBI. In the doubleheader against the UHH Vulcans on Feb. 24, Academy of Art University fell in both games (12-2, 7-5), but junior catcher Florentino Ubungen was 4-of-5 on the day and hit the Knights' first home run of the season.
