Amus Maru earns his first athlete of the week award for his performance at the American River College Invitational on April 3.  Maru's excellent performance during the invitational earned the sophomore some season high marks.  He earned a PR in the 1500m run with a  time of 4:03 which earned the sophomore a seventh place overall finish and a first place finish in his heat. Not only did Maru set his PR in the 1500m run he also broke two minutes in the 800m dash for the first time in his career at AAU, with a time of 1:58.
