In Academy of Art University volleyball's lone match this past week, senior outside hitter Melissa Brum achieved multiple historic milestones. Just a matter of minutes separated her from becoming the program's career points and kills leader; both the product of nearly four full years of strong production.

Matching up with Dixie State on Oct. 29, Brum posted a team-high 13 kills to go with six digs. Brum's historic moment came at the end of a 5-2 ART U run to close the first set gap to 11-8 DSU. The kill broke Dan Yang's long-standing record (1313 kills) and further solidified Brum as the all-time points leader which had come two kills into the match.
