The junior guard put up a well-rounded week for the Urban Knights after being thrust into a starting role, as Popoola Jr. averaged 13.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, three assists, 1.5 steals and 0.5 blocks over two games. Against the Sunbirds on Friday, Popoola Jr. drained his first pair of 3-pointers while also coming up with three steals, keeping the contest close for ART U. He followed up that performance on Saturday with another 13 points, this time on 4-for-6 shooting (66.7 percent) from the floor, while also tallying a pair of helpers.
