Senior infielder Erick Luna was named one of this week’s Urban Knights of the week after going on an offensive tear as ART U took their series against Fresno Pacific. Over the weekend, the Sylmar, Calif. native batted .555 (10-for-18) and scored eight times while driving in two runs and recorded a pair of doubles. With 16 two-baggers on the year, Luna currently sits at No. 2 in the PacWest in that category and now holds the program record for doubles in a single season. His success at the plate raised his batting average 31 points from .263 to .294 which is currently the second-best mark on the team.
