Freshman Jeremy Williams is in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak dating back to April 5 against Point Loma, but no hit was more important than the single he got on Sunday in the bottom of the seventh that proved to be the game-winner, knocking in fellow freshman Cody Edmunds from second to score the only run in a 1-0 Urban Knights victory. Over the eight-game span, Williams is hitting .375 (9-for-24) while splitting time between designated hitter and left field. He also has three RBIs over that time, and has nine for the year.
