Vashti Thomas continued her record-breaking junior campaign with a memorable weekend at the 85th Annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. On Friday, Thomas rose to the challenge of facing elite NCAA Division I competition by qualifying for the finals in the 100m hurdles with a new program record of 13.32 in addition to her 6th place finish out of 74 runners. She would also run one leg of Academy of Art University's 4x400m relay which set another ART U record (3:49.57).

Thomas' second day on the track featured more top marks including an even lower record in the finals of the 100mH (13.04, 4th of 9) and a series of long jumps that would practically rewrite the program's record books. The San Jose, CA native posted four of the top five times by any Urban Knight on this day alone, highlighed by her 20-7.75 distance which earned her a 9th place finish.
