Leading the way defensively in a 6-1 victory over Chico State, Academy of Art softball freshman pitcher Alyssa Fullmer turned in a gem for the first collegiate complete game of her career.

Starting for the second time in 2024 on Feb. 10 in the North Bay Challenge, Fullmer allowed the Wildcats to score a run on two hits in the first inning, but settled into an impressive rhythm thereafter. The Aurora, Colo. native would go on to surrender just three more hits and two walks while striking out a pair in the six scoreless frames that followed toward the eventual triumph.

Fullmer's two wins on the year are tied for the most in the Pacific West Conference while her 17.2 innings pitched are sixth overall.
