Academy of Art University Athletics

Jenny Bergren enters her first year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Academy of Art men's & women's track & field/cross country teams after running one season for the Urban Knights.

Bergren joined ART U in 2012 after completing her undergrad at Cal Poly with one year of athletic eligibility remaining. It was a historic year with Academy of Art as Bergren became the program's first NCAA All-American during the cross country season. In addition to helping the Knights win two NCAA DII National Championships, Bergren's cross country resume also included 2012 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, 2012 PacWest Runner of the Year, 2012 USTFCCCA All-West Region, 2012 All-PacWest First Team, 2012-13 D2ADA Academic Achievement Award.

In track & field, she captured 2013 USTFCCCA NCAA DII All-Academic Women's Track & Field Team, 2013 USTFCCCA NCAA DII Outdoor All-Region Team (5,000m), 2013 USTFCCCA NCAA DII Indoor All-American (1 mile), 2013 USTFCCCA NCAA DII Indoor All-Region Team (1 mile), 2013 USTFCCCA NCAA DII All-Academic Women's Track & Field Team.

Bergren hails from Orinda, CA and will be continuing her education at the Academy of Art in the Interior Architecture & Design department.
