Denisse Correa joins the Academy of Art University cross country coaching staff as a student assistant after competing for one season with the Urban Knights.
Correa had the best finish of all Urban Knights in four of their eight meets in 2009. She achieved her personal best on a 5k course (20:03) at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational on Oct. 17. Correa then had her top finish in non-dual meets (14th) at the Pacific West Conference Championships on Oct. 31.
Correa was born in San Diego, California and will be continuing her education at the Academy in the Interior Architecture & Design department.
