Aragorn Healy

Aragorn Healy is excited to begin his first season as a member of the Urban Knights men’s basketball coaching staff.

Prior to coming to the Academy of Art, Healy most recently worked as an assistant coach at San Francisco State University. He spent three years as an assistant under Bill Treseler, where they compiled the best three-year run since the early 80s. The Gators made it to the CCAA Conference Tournament each year, including a 3rd place finish in 2007-08 and an appearance in the semi-finals.

Prior to SF State, Healy was the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at SF Waldorf High School from 2000-2006. As the first varsity coach at SF Waldorf, he built the program from the ground up and was able to reach the NCS playoffs in his second year. By the time Healy left Waldorf, the Wolverines were a competitive Division 5 school year in and year out.

Coach Healy also worked with Mike Legarza as Vice President of Operations for the Legarza Basketball Camps from 2001-2004. During his time there, he helped grow those camps into one of the largest and most successful in California.

Healy played his collegiate basketball at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), a Division III school in Massachusetts. While there he received a B.S. degree in Computer Science. In addition, he has recently completed his Master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University.

Healy is married to Jennifa Gosling and has a four-year old son, Calvin (future member of Urban Knight Class of 2028).
