Kristopher Gibson, a former collegiate and professional player, enters his first season as assistant baseball coach.

Gibson played baseball collegiately at Consumnes River College and San Francisco State University. He was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 2004.

A native of Vallejo, Calif., Gibson played prep baseball at Vallejo Senior High School. He earned a bachelor's degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University.
