Dwaine Board

Dwaine Board
Involved in the NFL for the past 31 years, Dwaine Board has served as both a player and as a coach. Board was drafted out of North Carolina A&T State and went on play the majority of his career with the San Francisco 49ers. As a defensive end, he was crucial to the success of the Niners' XVI and XIX Super Bowl Champion teams. In his 10 NFL seasons, Board recorded 45 sacks and 9 fumble recoveries.

Board followed his days as an NFL player with a coaching career into the present day. His third Super Bowl Championship came on the sidelines when his work as a defensive line coach for the 49ers helped them win the XXIX Super Bowl. Since that period, Board has worked as a defensive line coach for the Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders. In 19 seasons as a coach, Board has sent players to 10 Pro Bowls and has coached one NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Board was born in Rocky Mount, Virgina and he along with his wife, Lynne, are the parents to current Academy of Art University women's volleyball player, Camille Board.
