Jed York

As President of the San Francisco 49ers, Jed York oversees the team’s day-to-day operations in all aspects of the organization.

In his prior role, as Vice President of Strategic Planning of the 49ers, York was responsible for the integration of brand strategies and projects related to the long-term operational and financial development of the organization.

Previously, as Director of Strategic Planning, he aided the restructuring of the team’s coaching and player personnel departments, including the hiring of General Manager Scot McCloughan and the team’s coaching staff.

York joined the organization as Special Projects Manager. In that capacity, he spent time learning how each department works together to achieve the team’s goals both on the field and in the community.

York’s roots with the 49ers run deep. He is the oldest child of John and Denise York, the co-chairmen of the team. York’s uncle and godfather, Eddie DeBartolo Jr., was the former owner of the 49ers. A 49ers fan since birth, Jed attended his first Niners game in 1984. His goal has always been to carry on his family’s tradition of success and excellence.

Born and raised in Youngstown, OH, York attended the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a degree in both finance and history, and was recognized for his scholastic achievements with induction into the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honors Society.

Besides his tremendous passion for the 49ers, York enjoys traveling, fishing, and playing cards, which he learned from his grandfather.
