Biography
2016-17: Sterling Hawkins was named the 2017 PacWest Golfer of the Year (and to the All-PacWest First Team) after producing the best numbers of her career including two titles (Dixie State Invite and Sonoma State Spring Invitational) and a top ten finish in all, but one tournament. Hawkins also led the team with a 76.36 stroke average, finished the season ranked 15th in the region, and was named PacWest Golfer of the Week on three occasions.
2015-16: Hawkins was named to the All-PacWest Second Team in her second collegiate season...was the only member of the team to qualify for a spot in the NCAA Division II National Championship after finishing in sixth at Regionals (finished ninth amongst individuals and 44th overall...Hawkins also placed seventh at the PacWest Championship and was named to the All-Tournament Team
2014-15: Hawkins had a solid freshman season, earning back-to-back PacWest Golfer of the Week awards in March after finishing among the top-10 at both the Midwestern State Invitational and the Otter Invitational.
Willow Glen High School: Attended Willow Glen High School in San Jose, Calif. and graduated in 2014.
Personal: Was born April 10, 1996...parents are Tranel and Melonee Hawkins, and has one sister, Elan.
