Strong Efforts Rise Multiple Knights In National Rankings

2025 Spokane Indoor Challenge Results

SPOKANE, Wash. – Academy of Art posted NCAA Division II Indoor Nationals provisional marks both on the track and in field to highlight Saturday's Spokane Indoor Challenge inside The Podium.

The women's 800m saw Lina Hanich not only log more than a full second improvement on her season-best, but the 2:09.10 performance elevated her to second overall in the country among Indoor Nationals provisional marks.

Yacouba Gnacko immediately took over the 17-jumper field on his first attempt and did not stop there, besting the Indoor Nationals provisional standard three times in the competition with his new season-best 49-3.75 (15.03m) coming on his fifth attempt. He would move up to eighth in NCAA DII with the result.

Cutting nearly 0.50 seconds off his debut time in the 400m, Josh Marlin secured an Indoor Nationals provisional mark, going 48.09 for not only first of 27 on the day but top 20 in NCAA DII as well.

Remaining among the afternoon's leaders in both the 60m and 200m dashes, Toni-Ann Lindsay opened by taking fifth of 51 with a 7.63 in the prelims before dropping to 7.54 for second in final. She later went 24.23 in the 200m which, as her third Indoor Nationals provisional performance of the day, was just off her season best.

Ajani Ince led 60 others in the men's 60m dash, crossing the line at 6.81 in the event prelims.

In her first high jump competition with ART U, Maika Cuenca-Andreo cleared the bar at 5-1.25 (1.56m), tying her for fifth in program history.

On Friday, the women's DMR combined the efforts of Hanich, Lindsay, Michaela Andrews, and Grace Southern toward the fastest time run in NCAA DII thus far this season. Their collective 12:03.06 mark was just off the Indoor Nationals provisional standard.

After passing multiple heights until the high jump bar was raised beyond 6-0 (1.82m), Elijah Roberts went on to match his career-best by clearing 6-6.75 (2.00m) on his second attempt.

When the Urban Knights are next in action it will be back in Reno for the Nevada Invite/Multis spanning Jan. 23-25.
