2024 Kim Duyst Twilight Invitational Results
TURLOCK, Calif. – Paced by senior
Grace Southern for the second consecutive meet to open the season, Academy of Art women's cross country challenged host Stanislaus State, Chico State, and others in the Kim Duyst Twilight at the River Oaks Golf Course on Saturday.
Competing in her and the team's first 6k of the year after their 5k in the
Seawolf Invitational one week ago, Southern was initially in third with runners from Stan State and Chico State both in front and in back of her position. The finish line had the Wildcats' Della Molina and Iresh Molina in the top two spots as Southern battled with the Warriors' Annie Wild for third, ultimately taking fourth out of the 77-runner field with 21:13.5 on the clock.
Following Southern, graduate student
Lina Hanich turned in time of 23.00.6 in 23rd overall while fellow senior
Michaela Andrews placed 45th at 25:22.1. Sophomore
Toni-Ann Lindsay rounded out the Urban Knights in action on Saturday, going 32:48.7 for 72nd overall.
Academy of Art next gets set to contest Cal State San Marcos' Cougar Challenge on Sept. 28.
