Chaminade Overcomes Cobe Williams Career High 26 Points

HONOLULU -- In the final game of their Hawaii road trip, senior guard Cobe Williams scored a career high 26 points and moved into second on the ART U all-time career 3-pointers list, but the Urban Knights fell to Chaminade 90-78.

C. Williams shot 3-7 from beyond the arc, bringing his career total to 101, just four back from tying the all-time record.  As a team ART U had an impressive offensive showing, shooting a solid 56.7% from the field and out scoring CUH 56-38 in the paint.

The Urban Knights jumped out to a 7-4 lead when C. Williams drained a shot from behind the arc with the assist from junior guard Kiel Long.

Chaminade put 12 points on the board, but senior center Cameron Niven threw down a layup to extend ART U 's lead to 16-12 with 12:49 left in the first. Niven ended with 12 points, two rebounds, and a block.

Junior forward Andrija Blatancic worked his way through traffic to put the Urban Knights up 18-15 with just under 10 minutes left in the half. Blatancic's outstanding season continued as he finished with 20 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.

The Silverswords took over a small lead and went into the half leading 42-36. CUH quickly extended their lead to 14 early in the second half, but ART U chipped away, starting with a jumper from C. Williams. Then, with nine minutes remaining, C. Williams sank his 100th career three-pointer bringing the game to 69-64.

The Urban Knights looked poised for a comeback, but CUH pulled away and defeated ART U 90-78.

The loss drops the Urban Knights to 8-10 in conference, and 8-15 overall. ART U will travel back to San Francisco where they will face Holy Names on Sunday Feb. 17 at 3:30 p.m in Kezar Pavilion.
