2019 SF State Invitational Results
SAN FRANCISCO – A hot and sunny day brought many out to Golden Gate Park for an exciting afternoon of racing with the SF State Invitational. The Academy of Art women's cross country team delivered a solid collective effort in fourth as a team led by three top 10 finishers.

Averaging slightly over a six-minute mile, graduate student
Hasna Kaarour stayed with the 6k race's front four the entire way, going 22:22.7 across the finish line in third place overall. Redshirt sophomore
Audrey Rosencrans and junior
Natalia Novak were side-by-side up until the very end when SF State's top runner split the pair with Rosencrans sixth overall at 23:03.9 and Novak eighth at 23:07.5. Redshirt sophomore
Alyssa Winter was the fourth Urban Knight to place, taking 46th with a time of 25:19.8. Sophomore
Jasmine Becker completed ART U's qualifiers in 60th, offering a 26:08.7 mark.
As a team, Academy of Art finished fourth (2:00:02) in front of Cal State Monterey Bay (2:02:23) and Pacific (2:04:08), but back of the race victors from Fresno Pacific (1:57:34), runners-up Notre Dame de Namur (1:59.14), and host SF State (2:00:31).
Completing his first collegiate 10k with ART U, sophomore
Markus Anderson Deakin remained in the race's upper tier throughout. Out of the 76 runners who completed the race, the Motion Pictures & Television major took 18th overall with a time of 34:50.3.
The next time the Urban Knights stand on a starting line it will be for the Pacific West Conference Championships which are set to take place the morning of Oct. 26 in Fullerton with Biola as the meet host.
