SAN FRANCISCO -- Four seniors were honored for their hard work and dedication to the program in Academy of Art's final game of the season against Notre Dame de Namur Saturday at CCSF Soccer Field. Surrounded by friends and family, a ceremony was held before the game to celebrate and thank the veteran Knights.
"We love the intensity and effort our guys bring every day," said coach
Matt Martin. "We are building a formidable mentality that will carry us in all walks."
The seniors were involved early when senior goalkeeper

Christian "Tate" Sprague  led the backline and kept NDNU scoreless in the first half. ART U was also held scoreless despite out-shooting the Argonauts 6-5.
The first goal of the match came in the 69th minute off the foot of Tony Andoyan. Andoyan controlled a ball that was lobbed over an ART U defender and buried a shot in the back right corner of the net to put NDNU up 1-0.

David Sigurdarson had completed their collegiate career as an Urban Knight. Henrichs ended his career on a 54 game streak of starting every game that spanned back to his sophomore year. The Kansas native also ended the season on a streak of playing every minute of every game in his senior year.
"The seniors can be proud of the seeds they planted," said Martin. "Outstanding days await Academy of Art's men's soccer!"
