IRVINE, Calif. -- Turning in NCAA nationally-recognized marks in each of their events at the Hornet Invitational this past weekend, Mobolade Ajomale, Craig Mattox, and Folke Woch were named Pacific West Conference Athletes of the Week. Ajomale, who posted the first automatic qualifying mark by any sprint athlete in the 100m and a provisional in the 200m, earned PacWest Men's Track Athlete of the Week, Mattox was selected PacWest Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his provisional distance in the long jump, and Folke captured co-PacWest Women's Field Athlete of the Week with a provisional point total in the heptathlon. The awards were based on games played March 13-19.

A week after earning national titles in the indoor 60m and 200m and winning DII Indoor Men's Track Athlete of the Year, Ajomale impressed in his outdoor debut. At Hornet, Ajomale became the season's first automatic qualifier among men's sprint events with a 10.29 in the 100m dash. He also rose to No. 1 in the country in the 200m mere hours later, going 20.87 for the Nationals provisional.

Mattox put himself in the country's top two in the long jump this week at the Hornet Invitational. He flew to a Nationals provisional 24-9.75 (7.56m) in just his third attempt, winning the event and putting himself less than an inch behind current national leader.

In the first heptathlon competition of her collegiate career, Woch moved up to fifth in the country with a Nationals provisional total of 4,878 points over two days at the Hornet Invitational. She finished fourth of 21 among competitors in the event and highlighted the performance with a 130-6 (39.79m) throw in the javelin to further the ART U program record.

This is the second career PacWest weekly honor for Ajomale and Mattox and the first in Woch's career.
