PacWest Release

PHOENIX, AZ -- Freshman setter Kawai Oleole garnered a selection to the PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll for women's volleyball for the week of Sept. 5-11 after putting up big numbers at the Holiday Inn Crossroads Classic in Grand Junction, CO. The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ on Monday. 

Oleole led the PacWest in total assists for the week, totaling 169 assists in 18 sets at the Holiday Inn Crossroads Classic. The Honolulu, HI native was third for the week in assist average (9.39), and totaled an impressive 50 assists in the five set marathon against Fort Lewis. 

The setter also added huge numbers in this weekend's matches against Adams State (27), Western State (48), Fort Lewis (50), and Colorado Mesa (44). Oleole also added 11 kills and 5 service aces. For the year, Oleole ranks fourth in the PacWest with a 9.12 assist average, and is second in the conference for total assists with 301.

This marks Oleole's first selection to the PacWest Top 10 Honor Roll.
