Academy of Art track & field's Selena Arjona-Alcazar emerged from both the Bryan Clay Invitational and Mt. SAC Relays with impressive new season-best marks.

Holding her own in the fastest 200m heat of the day with only NCAA DI talent alongside her on Apr. 14 in the Mt. SAC Relays, she finished with a time of 23.76 to take over the 12th spot in the country. Up against Minnesota State's Makayla Jackson and Pitt State's Taniya Looney in her 100m heat in the Bryan Clay Invitational on Apr. 15, Arjona-Alcazar ended 0.01 seconds back of the former and tied with the latter at 11.61 across the finish line. The Communications & Media Technologies major improved upon her season-best time by 0.02 seconds, currently holding the 17th position in the country with another Outdoor Nationals provisional qualification.
