Finishing as runner-up to the National Champion with his teammates in the 4x400m relay and fourth in the 400m, Academy of Art track & field's Duncan Agyemang closed Indoor Nationals on an impressive note on
Mar. 11.
First in the 400m final, Agyemang out-paced West Texas A&M's Brien Pittman to finish at 47.35 before the remaining two heats. The Communications & Media Technologies major would end fourth overall in the event by just over 0.1 seconds, soon hoisting his fourth All-American honor since joining ART U last year.
His fifth would come later when Agyemang served as the anchor to the men's 4x400m relay alongside Makarios Page, Omodiaogbe Oboh, and Shareez Hamm. The Urban Knights went toe-to-toe with Pitt State's quartet down the stretch and it was Agyemang who nearly bested the Gorillas' Braylen Brewer, ending just 0.09 seconds from the top spot.
