Robin Black's first day competing for Academy of Art track & field was a memorable one as the Clarendon, Jamaica native contributed to three NCAA Division II Indoor Nationals provisional qualifications at the Spokane Invitational.

Beginning his ART U career on Dec. 10, Black opened with two of the fastest 60m hurdles times in program history. He started with an 8.21 in the prelims then dropped down to 8.01 (0.02 seconds from the ART U record holder Marlon Britton) in the final for a sixth-place national ranking in NCAA DII this season. The Music Production & Sound Design for Visual Media major then dropped a 21.41 in the 200m to take over the third spot in the country (third in Academy of Art history only to multi-time All-Americans Mobolade Ajomale and Jordan Edwards) before joining Makarios Page, Shareez Hamm, and Ajani Ince for a 3:13.31 effort in the 4x400m relay which ranks second in the nation.
