Academy of Art University Athletics

Junior midfielder/forward Gilly Miller led the way for Academy of Art men's soccer this past week, being involved in a pair of goals which helped the Urban Knights tie Cal State East Bay 2-2 on Sept. 10.

In the 14th minute, the Music Production & Sound Design for Visual Media major capitalized on a ball being kicked out a few feet from a battle between senior midfielder/forward Breki Einarsson in the box. Miller found space and promptly rocketed a shot past one defender then the goalkeeper to the back of the net. Later in the 66th minute, Miller delivered free kick near the corner deep into the box to a wide open junior midfielder Kendryx Soriano for the decisive header goal.

On the season, Miller's two goals are tied for the second-most in the Pacific West Conference while his five points and 12 shots are each tied for fourth.
