Freshman forward/center Christy Ojide broke out for her first two double-doubles of the season in a pair of victories for Academy of Art women's basketball this past week.

The Igualada, Spain native opened with 12 points and a season-high 15 rebounds in the Urban Knights' 70-61 win over Point Loma on Jan. 6. An efficient 4-of-6 shooting performance from the floor came along with two blocks and one steal. Ojide then was a perfect 7-of-7 from the floor (one shy of Regina Camera's program record 8-of-8 on Feb. 16, 2016) for a season-best 14 points plus 10 rebounds and one block as part of a 67-41 Jan. 8 victory for Academy of Art at Holy Names.

After averaging 13.0 points and 12.5 rebounds in the two games, Ojide is now up to 16th in the PacWest in rebounds per game (5.9) as well as sixth in blocks per game (0.9).
