For the second consecutive week, junior Amos Maru finished in the top four spots to pace the Academy of Art University men's cross country team. At the Hornet Jamboree hosted by Sacramento State this past Saturday, Maru placed 3rd overall with a time of 20:13 on the four-mile course. The meet featured runners from Division I powerhouse schools like UC Davis, Cal, and USF many of whom Maru outran in route to his top placement for ART U.
"For the second week in a row, Amos has been looking really strong," Assistant Coach Anne Ricketts said.
As a team, the Urban Knights placed 5th in front of Saint Mary's College amongst others.
