Senior Monika Stanikova made history over the weekend when she captured Academy of Art’s first ever singles title at the ITA West Regional Championship. Stanikova did not lose a single set over the course of the three day tournament and upset the No. 1 seed Jensyn Warren in the championship with a 6-4, 7-5 victory to claim the title. Stanikova also collected three wins in doubles, making it all the way to the semifinals before falling to the No. 3 seed.
