Leading the Academy of Art women's cross country team at the NCAA Division II West Regional Championships on Nov. 4, sophomore and Pacific West Conference Newcomer of the Year Swann Phelippeau turned in her second consecutive lifetime-best for a seventh-place individual finish.

The third-highest finisher from the PacWest, Phelippeau posted a 21:27.5 mark on the 6k course for seventh overall out of 209 runners. For her efforts, she was named All-Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Phelippeau will represent Academy of Art at the NCAA Division II National Championships on Nov. 18 in Evansville, Ind.
