Contributing highly productive minutes off the bench, freshman guard Dante Williams had a memorable opening weekend for Academy of Art University men's basketball in the SF State Tipoff Classic. Named All-Tournament Team for his efforts in the Urban Knights' 1-1 week, Williams averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and was a perfect 16-for-16 from the free throw line.

In his collegiate debut against SF State on Nov. 11, Williams came off the bench to score 16 points in 19 minutes including a 10-for-10 night at the foul line. He became just the eighth Urban Knight to convert 10 free throws in a single game. The following night in a dramatic win over against Stanislaus State, Williams did one better with 17 points including four crucial free throws in overtime.
