Sophomore pitcher Brenna Mitchell (9-8) celebrated her birthday with a spectacular performance in the circle, notching her second shutout of the season with no runs allowed in 5.0 innings of work at Notre Dame de Namur on Apr. 8.

In her lone start of the week, Mitchell allowed just three hits and two walks while striking out four in a stellar complete game victory. At the plate in that game, she would also go 1-for-1 with a double, one run batted in, two runs scored, and two walks.

Mitchell is now ranked 10th in the PacWest with a 2.46 ERA and she is fourth in the conference in strikeouts (66).
