Freshman Sabrina Virtusio was named PacWest Conference Golfer of the Week after her highest finish of the year, second-place, at the Otter Invitational (March 21-22).

In the first round, the Architecture major tied for sixth-place with 77 strokes. In the second, the Concord, Calif. native saw a three-stroke improvement, posting a 74 (+2) which was one stroke behind the leader. Virtusio's previous best tournament was when she tied for eighth at the DBU Women's Classic (October 12-13, 2015).

"Sabrina was focused and organized in her thinking," said head coach Elaine Harris. "She was putting and chipping well throughout all 36 holes."
