Through two victories in ART U volleyball's first two home matches of 2015, junior outside hitter Melissa Brum was one of the Urban Knights' best hitters. She averaged 4.13 kills per set and hit .256 as Academy of Art defeated two PacWest Bay Area opponents in Holy Names and Notre Dame de Namur.

Brum started the homestand with her best hitting percentage of the season (.278) and 13 kills during a 3-0 sweep of Holy Names in ART U's Oct. 1 home opener. Two days later on Oct. 3, she posted a season-high 20 slams versus NDNU while adding 13 digs for her fourth double-double of the year.
