Senior infielder Genna Allen swung a hot bat throughout the Montana State-Billings Desert Stinger Tournament this past week, helping the Urban Knights secure their first two victories of the season. The Thousand Oaks, CA native went 6-for-15 with three home runs, seven runs batted in, four runs scored, and a stolen base.

She blasted the walk-off, two-run homer which won Academy of Art's contest against Lewis and became only the third Knight to ever hit two home runs in the win against Western Washington. She had five RBIs as well in that game to tie a single-game program record. Allen, who boasts a team-high .679 slugging percentage, is currently riding a streak of eight games in which she has reached base safely.

“Genna hit well,” head coach Rachel Sherman said. “She is really seeing the ball and making solid contact. It's great to see her confidence growing more and more.”
