Junior Briana Stewart excelled this past weekend in ART U track & field's season-opening meet, the Boise State Jacksons Open & Multi. Stewart was one of several Urban Knights to set new indoor school records, but she was spotlighted for a historic performance in the 60m hurdles. Stewart's 8.21 mark made her an early qualifier for the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships in February.

Stewart had other memorable moments as well including a 7.59 time in the 60m which set another school record. Then, in the triple jump, Stewart took third individually with a 38-10.5 performance that ranks second for her indoor career.
