Freshman forward William Overton, Jr. was an integral part of Academy of Art University's success at the 2010 Radisson Roseville Thanksgiving Basketball Classic this past week. In the Urban Knights' 63-61 victory over Upper Iowa on Nov. 26, Overton, Jr. put up 25 points and 10 rebounds including 2-for-4 shooting from long range and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line. He scored 10 of ART U's first 12 points to open up the second half and extend the Knights' advantage.
Against Concordia University, St. Paul, the tournament host, on Nov. 27, Overton, Jr. again notched a double-double (12 points, 10 rebounds), becoming the first Academy of Art men's basketball player ever to do so in back-to-back games. He finished the week averaging 18.5 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per contest.
