Ali Tyson-Taufoou

Ali Tyson-Taufoou enters her third season as an assistant coach for Academy of Art University women's volleyball.

Tyson-Taufoou played her final intercollegiate volleyball season as a libero for the Urban Knights in their inaugural 2008 year. She led the team with 371 digs and a 3.34 digs per set average. Tyson-Taufoou was also one of the best servers on the team with 27 serve aces (tied for first) and a 0.24 serve ace per set percentage (second on team).

Prior to her time at ART U, Tyson-Taufoou played two years at Mineral Area Junior College in Park Hills, Mo. and one year at Menlo College. She was team captain at both colleges, received All-State Nominations and was voted Most Inspirational.

Ali Tyson-Taufoou is currently a graduate student pursuing her master's degree in Advertising at Academy of Art University. She was born in Lansdale, PA and has one brother, Travis, and one sister, Stacey. Tyson-Taufoou says her niece and nephew are her pride and joy. She enjoys barbequing, being outside and spending time with her family, friends, and husband ‘T’.
