2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Nationals Results
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Academy of Art track & field turned in performances worthy of All-American recognition throughout the third and final day of the NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships as
Yacouba Gnacko,
Lina Hanich, and the men's 4x400m relay all hoisted trophies on Saturday.
Gnacko immediately shot to the top of the 17-competitor triple jump field when he delivered a 50-5.25 (15.37m) mark on his second attempt. That distance, his third-farthest of the season, kept him atop the list until the fifth jump from eventual National Champion Josh Body of Angelo State. Gnacko ended in third overall (second highest of his career) with his second attempt holding strong as he collected the ninth All-American honor of his career.
The women's 800m final had Hanich in the middle of the pack much of the way before a race to the finish line. The Advertising major claimed eighth overall with a time of 2:08.41, marking her best result at Indoor Nationals across her collegiate career. The All-American selection was her sixth in that span.
Closing out the day's action, the men's 4x400m relay combination of
Tre'Sean Bouie,
Ajani Ince,
Tariq Dacres, and
Kailen Perry posted the fastest time for Academy of Art this season at 3:10.25. The Urban Knights contended with Lincoln (Mo.), NW Missouri, and Texas A&M-Kingsville in their heat and emerged third, securing the quartet fifth overall on the podium as Dacres earned his first career All-American trophy while Bouie and Perry garnered their first with ART U.
The men's collective 10 points scored as a team had the Urban Knights 18th overall with the highest finish from the West Region.
With its indoor season now complete, Academy of Art will look to continue its outdoor schedule with Sacramento State's Hornet Invitational up next on Mar. 21-22.
