Women's Soccer Drops Match To Silverswords

SAN FRANCISCO – Returning to Paul Goode Field for the third match of their current homestand, Academy of Art women's soccer fell 4-0 to Chaminade on Thursday.

The Silverswords, now 4-2-2 overall and 2-0 in the Pacific West Conference, controlled the ball the majority of the first half and put nine shots on goal, scoring twice with goals from Haley Mo'okini and Kylie Ifuku. Chaminade would go into the half with the lead at 2-0.

Mo'okini broke through again in the 65th minute off her second penalty kick of the match and Delaney Buntin would tap one in off a rebound and save by freshman goalkeeper Kayla Hampton. The ART U keeper would record two saves total in the match, keeping her current first-place status in the conference rankings in saves per game (6.4).

ART U registered two shots in the matter of seconds in the 74th minute by freshman defender/forward Jade Alverio and freshman midfielder Ashley Tasev, but neither would not connect.

Redshirt junior defender Katie Williams recorded another full match played, which is now an eight-match streak, playing all 720 minutes of the Knights' season.
