IRVINE, Calif. – It was tough for Academy of Art women's soccer to keep up with the offense from No. 12 Concordia during their Pacific West Conference showdown as CUI would walk away the victors, 6-0. 

The Golden Eagles, now 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the PacWest Conference, controlled much of the play against the Urban Knights, who dropped to 1-9 on the year and 0-4 in the conference. Despite their best efforts, ART U would see Concordia score twice in the first half, before adding another four in the second frame. Antonella Russo would go on to record four points in the match, scoring two goals. Eight other Golden Eagles would score at least one point, spreading them across the team.

Despite the goals allowed, sophomore goalkeeper Alicia Calderon would make seven saves by the end of the match. The leading shot taker for Academy of Art for the match, redshirt junior defender Katie WIlliams, would shoot twice (one on target) and record her 10th consecutive full match played.

The Urban Knights will return to the pitch on Monday, Oct. 9 as they will battle against Azusa Pacific at 7:30 p.m. at Cougar Soccer Complex.
