KNIGHT WATCH
Reyna Valencia 9-23-22Scoring her second goal of the season the last time on the pitch in the 2-1 defeat against Holy Names was redshirt sophomore forward Hannah Moore, as she was the recipient of a pass to the top of the box by sophomore defender Halldóra Einarsdóttir after Einarsdóttir generated a defensive take away from my goal kick. Moore's strike into the top of the net joins her unassisted tally back in the match with UC Santa Cruz as the first two markers of her ART U career, ties her for sixth in the conference in goals, and also gave Einarsdóttir the first point in her collegiate career.

Defensively, freshman goalkeeper Alicia Calderon has produced a total of 51 saves on 186 shots faced in first seven matches of her career, making at least five saves per game in every contest (7.29 per match) in her 630 minutes between the pipes. Both of those totals place her first in the PacWest. Thus far her best performance came on Sept. 11 when she made double-digit saves for the first time this season with a total of 11 against the Gators.

SWIMMING WITH SHARKS
Hawaii Pacific has kept a clean sheet the past two times on the pitch, playing to a scoreless draw against UH Hilo before picking up their first victory of the season with a 1-0 defeat of Chaminade. It has been an average of just one goal per game for the Sharks, as they have launched of 42 shots on the season with 22 of them making it on target (52.4 percent). Holding the team lead and goals with two on the year Caylie Uyema, while a trio of other Sharks have all joined the scoring party with a goal each. Time has been split in goal, but the leader between the posts is Sophia Garrido with a total of 13 saves. With the last two games having been won by HPU, they hold the edge in the all-time series over ART U, 9-3-1.

CLASHING WITH CHAMINADE
After a trio of victories to start the year, Chaminade has dropped each of its past two matches by a 1-0 final, first to Cal State East Bay before falling to Hawaiian neighbor Hawaii Pacific. Ranked as the third-highest scoring team in the conference with an average of 1.8 goals per game, the Silverswords have generated a total of 72 shots on the season (third-most in the PacWest), 40 of which have been on goal (55.6 percent). A trio of Silverswords are tied for the team lead with four points, including Lela Gi and Asya Holt who have a pair of goals each. In goal has been Naomi Takata, making a total of 17 saves through 35 shots faced while allowing just four goals for a .810 save percentage. Despite Chaminade having won each of the past two matchups, it is Academy of Art that still leads the all-time series, 9-6-0.

FIERY VULCAN-OES
Remaining undefeated through five matches on the season is No. 7 UH Hilo, having won their first four times out before playing to a scoreless draw most recently against Hawaiian neighbor HPU. The Vulcans currently possess the top offense in the PacWest, setting marks in scoring average (2.20 goals per game), scoring margin (1.80), and goals allowed (two) a while ranking second in goals scored (11). Their total of 69 shots is also fourth in the conference, but they have put just 28 of their attempts on goal (40.6 percent). Filippa Graneld leads the team and conference in points with seven, as she has scored three times with one helper, while six others have also found the scoresheet. In goal is projected to be Lolo Retsky who has posted and .867 save percentage while making 13 saves on a total of 38 shots faced. Winners in each of the past four, UH Hilo leads the all-time series over the Urban Knights, 11-2-1.

SECOND-HALF TALLY LIFTS HAWKS OVER ACADEMY OF ART 2-1
Academy of Art women's soccer found an equalizer midway through the first half in their non-conference battle with Holy Names thanks to a great passing play, but HNU broke the tie later in the second half to claim a 2-1 victory on Wednesday.

LOOKING AHEAD
Academy of Art returns home to host its first PacWest matches, as a pair of Southern California schools make the trip north as the Knights battle Biola on Oct. 6 before taking on Azusa Pacific on Oct. 8.
