Hanny Stanislaus Invitational Day One Results

TURLOCK, Calif. -- Academy of Art ended the first day of the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational at Turlock Country Club in ninth place with a cumulative score of 591. The Urban Knights were led by sophomore Matthew Watkins who shot a 73 (+1) in both rounds to end tied for 19th. Watkin's performance was highlighted by an eagle in round two on the 16th.

In second for ART U was junior Gabriel De Leon Manotoc with a cumulative score of 148 from back to back rounds of 74 (+2). The best Urban Knight round of the day came from senior Lawrence Liang who shot a superb 70 (-2) in his first round. Liang goes into the final day tied for 28th with Manotoc with a cumulative 148. Junior Otto Homruen and senior Oskar Frick are locked in a tie for the final scoring spot for Academy of Art at 151. Frick had a great first round shooting the second lowest ART U score with a 73 (+1).

The Urban Knights will be back on the links of the Turlock Country Club for the final round of competition starting at 8 a.m.
