KNIGHT WATCH

Now on the verge of breaking the program's career total blocks record set by
Margaret Winkler (303), redshirt senior middle blocker
Safua Elisaia finds herself one block from tying and two from setting a new mark. Following 11 kills in two of her last three matches, Elisaia also needs just eight more to enter into Academy of Art's career kills top five list. Two ART U freshmen remain among the PacWest's top seven in two separate categories as middle blocker
Jillian Wheaton ranks seventh in the conference in hitting percentage (.338) and setter
Picabo Reinhold sits at fifth in assists per set (6.80). Double-digit kill totals in her last three matches have kept sophomore outside hitter
Ashley Pawlak as the Urban Knights' leader at 2.45 kills per set which she combines with an average of 3.03 digs per set, leading to seven double-doubles. Senior setter
Alana Lucas' 73 career service aces now have her just one from fourth in program history while redshirt senior libero
Lyndsay Mlynar, third in career digs (982), needs only 18 more to reach the 1,000-dig milestone.
SHARKS HUNTING PERFECT NORCAL TRIP
Hawaii Pacific's road since a
Sept. 30 victory over ART U on the islands has been more positive than not. Though the Sharks lost three of their next four matches, they have followed by winning four straight all on their Northern California roadtrip. HPU is led by Carson Pyle's 1.11 blocks per set, Cameryn Collie's 3.01 kills per set, and Mahea Pescaia's 6.21 assists per set. All three rank among the PacWest's top six in their respective categories. Hawaii Pacific is ahead of Academy of Art 13-3 in 16 previous meetings.
REMEMBER THE NAMES
After defeating Academy of Art in Oakland on
Sept. 19, Holy Names topped Dominican one week later, but has since fallen in 10 straight matches, winning two sets in the span. The Hawks are slated for their rematch with the Penguins on Oct. 27 and then take on the Knights once again in mid-week action as part of five of their final six matches on the road. HNU continues to rely on offense from Fanny Chow (2.09 kills per set) and Sierra Allen (2.08 kills per set) who combined for 19 kills in the teams' first meeting while Cassidy Simon comes in ranked third in the PacWest in digs per set (4.70). ART U leads Holy Names 15-5 in the historical matchup.
LOOKING AHEAD
The first full week of November brings two more Northern California matchups as Academy of Art travels to Fresno Pacific on Nov. 2 before hosting Dominican on Nov. 5 for Senior Night.
