KNOTABLE KNIGHTS
Academy of Art has been on a hot streak as of late, winning three of their last four contests. At the front of the Urban Knights' success has been senior forward
Alex Walsh who has scored two goals during that time including a
game-winner against Dominican on September 23. Junior midfielder
Bobby Gutierrez has also been a catalyst for ART U: the Riverside, Calif. native put an end to Saturday's match against UH Hilo in second overtime when he
scored a golden goal, propelling the Knights to a 1-0 victory over the Vulcans.
SILVERSWORDS IN SEARCH OF FIRST CONFERENCE-WIN
Chaminade enters Tuesday's contest with the Urban Knights with an 0-2-1 conference record. Their only win this season came against UH Hilo in a non-conference matchup. The Silverswords tied Azusa Pacific 1-1 on September 23 in Southern California, but fell to Holy Names five days later. There are four players tied on the roster with one goal apiece, but Makoto Shoji leads the team with three points.
SHARKS ALSO WINLESS IN PACWEST-PLAY
Hawaii Pacific is currently 2-4-2 overall, but their two wins took place during the non-conference portion of their schedule. The Sharks' last win was a 3-2 victory on September 17 against Saint Martins. Since then, they have gone 0-3-1, most recently tying Holy Names 2-2 on September 30. Josch Cuerten is currently the team-leader with five goals and 12 points while Garrit Arzberger is not far behind with four goals and 10 points.
PREVIOUS MATCH: GUTIERREZ SCORES GOLDEN GOAL IN 2ND OVERTIME
Sept. 30 - In their first of three matches in the Aloha State, Academy of Art men's soccer stayed resilient throughout, eventually defeating UH Hilo 1-0 in a two-overtime thriller.
LOOKING AHEAD
After facing Hawaii Pacific, the Urban Knights will return to San Francisco for a two-game homestand in which they will take on Dixie State and Concordia.
