Irvine, Calif. – Eagles Field Live Stats/Video KNIGHTS ON THE ROADAfter starting the season at a 7-10 clip, the Urban Knights suffered a four-game sweep at the hands of Dixie State over the weekend. ART U now heads out on the road for the first time in nearly a month, taking on the Concordia Eagles.
FIRST PITCHThe first games of the series will take place Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. with a noon/3:00 p.m. double header to follow on Saturday. The final game between the Urban Knights and CUI will see a first pitch at 1:00 p.m.

KNOTABLE KNIGHTSSenior outfielder
Greg Ivory currently leads Art U with a .305 batting average and a .461 on base percentage. Redshirt junior infielder
Erick Luna owns a team-high 10 runs batted in and has been swinging the bat well, posting a .281 batting average. Freshman right hander
Roman Martinez comes into the Concordia series with a team-low 2.76 earned run average. The Chula Vista, Calif. native played a long-relief role in the final game with DSU, tossing 5.1 innings on nine hits, four strikeouts, no walks, and four runs (two earned).
CONCORDIA The Eagles are currently 12-16 after having played a PacWest-most 28 games. After starting the season 4-5, the Irvine-based university dropped seven out of their next eight games, but have turned things around to go 7-4 in the past two weeks. Concordia currently has four players batting over the .300 mark with Ryan Land and Joey Thompson tied for the team lead with a .344 batting average.
KNIGHTS HANG TOUGH WITH DSU, DROP TWIN BILLMarch 16 - It was a high-scoring affair in both of Tuesday's games with the Urban Knights (7-14, 2-5 PacWest), dropping the final two games of the series against Dixie State (17-5, 5-3 PacWest).
GAME ONE: DSU 13, ART U 2
The Red Storm was first to the scoreboard, driving home a run with two outs in the top of the first inning.
Starting pitcher, junior
Alexander Kuisel quickly settled in afterwards and and did not allow another run to score until the fourth when DSU put themselves into the driver's seat with a 3-0 lead. The Red Storm would score again in each of the sixth through ninth innings, scoring 13 runs in total.
LOOKING AHEADA week after their return from Irvine, ART U will welcome in Hawaii Pacific for a four-game set with two double headers on March 28 and 29.
