THANKSGIVING IN CHICO
After finishing up the 16th-annual Ron Logsdon Basketball Classic last weekend, the Urban Knights head to Chico for the Carl's Jr. Mac Martin Invitational. There, they will take on Chico State on Friday and Cal State East Bay on Saturday.
TIP OFF
ART U's first matchup will come against the Wildcats on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and then Academy of Art will face the Pioneers on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

KNIGHTS OF KNOTE
Senior guard
Sergio Valdeolmillos averaged 11.0 points and 2.5 rebounds throughout Sonoma State's tournament, including scoring nine points in the second half of Saturday's game against the Seawolves. For his efforts, Valdeolmillos earned a spot on the all-tournament team. Overall, senior guard
Chris Salas leads the team with an average 14.5 points per game and a .477 field goal percentage.
WILDCATS RANKED 19TH
Chico State enters this week ranked 19th in Division II with their one regular-season loss coming against Biola on November 12. Chico also nearly defeated Division I, No. 10 University of Arizona in an exhibition game on November 6, falling 78-70. Three Wildcats lead the team in average points, each scoring 12.3 per game. Justin Briggs leads the team in field goal percentage however, shooting 81 percent from the field.
PIONEERS OFF TO A HOT START
Cal State East Bay is currently 3-1 after defeating Notre Dame de Namur and Fresno Pacific at home and Montana State Billings on the road. Their sole loss came against Western Washington on November 12 who is ranked just outside of the top 25. Micah Dunhour is the team leader in several categories including average: points (14.0) rebounds (6.5) and minutes (33.8).

Nov. 19 - Academy of Art men's basketball nearly erased a 16-point deficit on Saturday night, but fell just short as Sonoma State held on for a 64-53 victory.
The Urban Knights took an early 5-2 lead thanks to a layup by junior forward
Luka Radovic and a 3-pointer from senior guard
Chris Salas. However, ART U did not have long to savor their three-point lead as it was all Seawolves from that point forward. Sonoma State held the Urban Knights to a 27.6 field goal percentage while shooting 55 percent themselves and created a rebound differential of 22-8 in the first half. However, ART U was able to force 11 turnovers in the period which helped them take nearly ten more shots than their opponent (29 compared to SSU's 20).
LOOKING AHEAD
The Carl's Jr. Mac Martin Invitational represents the Urban Knights' final non-conference tuneup before the PacWest portion of the season begins. ART U begins conference-play against Fresno Pacific on the road on Thursday, December 1.
