2015 NCAA Division II National Championships Results (Day 2)
ALLENDALE, Mich. – In a pair of events on the second day of the NCAA Division II National Championships, Academy of Art University athletes saw their fate determined by less than a second.
Jordan Edwards qualified to through to the finals in the 200m while the women's 4x400m relay just missed the finals despite running a season-best.
Edwards opened the day with a gutty race in the 200m prelims, battling a heavy headwind for a 21.35 in his heat. He would finish ninth overall, beating out Jeffrey Fraley of Missouri Southern by two hundredths of a second for the opportunity to compete in the finals on Saturday.
ART U's heat in the women's 4x400m relay was delayed by over an hour as the sun set on LAX Field/Track Complex and it came down to a tenth of a second to separate the Urban Knights from a top-nine finish.
Mistic Scott,
Keanna Moody,
Schae Graham, and
Chante Sneed broke through after the break in dropping temperatures and posted a season-best 3:44.43, finishing just behind Southern Connecticut State.
