SACRAMENTO – Fresh off his three NCAA All-American honors at Indoor Nationals,
Jordan Edwards went right to work in the 100m dash at the Hornet Invite. He delivered a 10.40 to place third among 70 sprinters and capture a NCAA provisional qualifying time.
The 110m hurdles were highlighted by
Marlon Britton, who dropped a program record of 14.46 in addition to taking fifth of 35 competitors.
James Steptoe offered a personal record of 48.41 in the 400m dash, placing fifth of 50.
Asa Guevara was not far behind at 48.67 in seventh overall.
A top five finish came from both
Atiya Harvey in the 100m and
Keanna Moody in the 200m.
In the women's triple jump,
Hadiyah Muhammad soared to a new PR of 37-5 (11.38m).
SAN FRANCSICO – On the track at Cox Stadium for the Johnny Mathis Invitational, Academy of Art saw a lifetime best come from
Elizabeth Khuu in the 1500m. She dropped down from her top time in 2014, going 4:46.01 for 14th of 58 on Saturday. She is now third on the program's all-time list.
The women's 800m was highlighted by
Kaelyn Harbison and
Ericka Taylor both finishing among the top eight.
McKaela Christenson offered a new personal record of 17:56.07 in the 5000m, finishing 10th of 41 overall.
In the men's 800m,
Austin Murray led with a 1:55.09 not far off his PR en route to fifth of 29.
Austin Esposito and
Logan Means followed in seventh and eighth respectively.
